Attempt by previous owner to reupholster the chair is shown above.

Foam is custom-cut to each customer's specifications and is sold by the cubic inch calculated on the length, width and thickness.

New foam, Dacron, and fabric were used in the re-upholstery of the rocking chair.

Original cover and stuffing were removed from rocking chair, as shown above, leaving the original wooden frame, springs and burlap.

Customer was so well pleased with the results of her chair shown above, that she brought a cherished rocking chair from her childhood home to Superior Unlimited to be re-upholstered with the same material as the chair.

Current owner brought chair to Superior Unlimited to be re-upholstered with material purchased from Hancock Fabrics.

Specialty Items

Metal bed frame was removed from sofa bed by customer.  Minor repairs to wood frame were made.  Fabric was replaced. 

Frame was reinforced.  New foam was added.  Springs were re-tied along with other internal improvements.  Upholstered with our in-house Staccato Burgundy stock fabric for a Hampton, Tennessee customer.

Chair was reupholstered in paisley fabric provided by the Bristol, VA customer.

Striped fabric was worn and faded.

Superior Unlimited offers custom upholstery services, straight-cut foam, and basic sewing repairs.  Since 1989 we have been known for our quality work performed at a fair price with a quick turn-around time. 

Do you have a favorite item that needs re-upholstering?  Boat cushions, chairs, sofas, patio furniture cushions, cedar chest pillow tops, stools, piano bench cushions, kitchen chairs, dining room chairs, folding chairs, side chairs, church pews, restaurant chairs and booth cushions.

Customers are encouraged to provide material purchased from one of their local fabric shops which have a greater selection, often at reduced prices.  Our in-stock commercial fabrics can be viewed on our Office Chairs page.  Price of re-upholstery work depends on the amount of fabric and other materials used, and the amount of time and labor involved.  Quotes for upholstery jobs provided upon request.

Reupholstered cushions and remaining unused vinyl were returned to the customer.

​Totes are designed and crafted by the ladies at Superior Unlimited, and are available in four colorful, double-sided quilted fabrics.

Boards were replaced and cushions were reupholstered in fabric provided by customer.

The Cincinnati, OH customer shipped his worn and rotting boat cushions to Superior Unlimited to be upholstered in the three colors of vinyl fabric he purchased at his local fabric store in OH.

Components for a table support system in a recreational vehicle were re-covered in gray vinyl for a Blountville, Tennessee customer.

Loveseat reupholstered in fabric to match primitive decor for a Piney Flats, Tennessee customer. 

Seat out of a church van was re-covered in gray Camborne fabric for a Bluff City, Tennessee customer.

Antique foot stool with curved cushion was repainted, foam added and upholstered in Sherpa Brown Haze for a Bristol, Virginia customer. 

Sofa-bed was reupholstered with Superior Unlimited's Staccato Suede stock fabric. The Bristol, Tennessee customer selected the color to coordinate with the brown in the rug.  The customer reinserted the bed frame into the reupholstered sofa.

Dilapidated, rickety, old, worn chair needed much help.

The Abingdon, Virginia customer did not want stuffing replaced, so it was repositioned and made smooth.  Chair with three-position reclining back was then reupholstered in fabric provided by the customer

Footstool with pillow top was reupholstered in matching fabric.

Fabric was worn and stuffing was bunched and lumpy.  Pictures shown are a work in process.
